Drain on Jl. Moncokerto Needs Improvement

Residents living in Utan Kayu Selatan, Matraman, East Jakarta are requesting the related agency to fix a drain on Jl. Moncokerto. They assessed, it is a must, in order to minimize inundation during rain.

Ahmad (36), a resident of RT 02/13, Utan Kayu Selatan stated, when heavy rain poured a few days ago, his residential was flooded up to 30 cm high. Whereas, PPSU had dredged mud in the drain before it occurred.

When being confirmed, Yose Rizal, Division Head of Maintenance for East Jakarta Natural Resources Sub-dept. promised will follow up the request.
"This may be a blockage. If it needs to be widened, we'll do it," he closed.
